Well hey there,
I'm Kendall!

Okay, so, if you finish reading this and say "We should be friends" then yes, please, let's be friends. And thats not a joke.

I'm Kendall and I am currently planning a wedding with a dude named Jake. We just bought our first house in the fabulous Ferndale, MI. We have two beasts, a german shepherd named Freya and a mutt (or alien, if you know her) Aurora, the namesake of this biz.

Hey look, here's photos!

The low down on myself, that's not photography related;

- I love the word "yes"

- I have a playlist for everything

- I jam WAY to loud in my car and that's usually how you know I have arrived.

- Always down for a trip to anywhere.

- My guilty pleasure is curling up on the couch with a pup or Jake and playing video games of all sorts. (Please visit my island, iykyk)

- My religion is gathered friends around good food and drink.

- I can manifest the exact obscure vinyl record I have been looking for. IDK HOW.

- My super power is telling you what something tastes or smells like but it wont ever be something that is actually food?

- If  you can't find me, I'm probably in New Orleans.

better photos of yours truly coming SOON

About Aurora Photo

One of my favorite sayings is:

"A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times better than a master of one"

and that's me.

I've done every type of job you can imagine, and during every job, I can never ignore photography. My end goal is always this business and how I can make it better, because there is always room for improvement! I always say yes to a new oportunity because the knowledge I gain always corolates back to this. This isn't a job for me, this is my absolute passion. Every speed bump or back road I've had to take to get to this point has been worth it.

I learned film photography in 2007 then progressed into the digital world. I practiced by going to the zoo for animal photos then art museums for photographing marble statues (which I still love doing). In 2011, the Today Show (yes) gave me my first DSLR and I started family portraits and senior photos. Something changed and I found a love for other's love and a sick pleasure in making people cry tears of joy. (Man, I really do love making people cry) I moved onto newborns, then weddings and here we are today.

Along with the many editing styles I've had throughout the years, the names of the business changed too. There's been: Photographic Evidence (*CRINGE*), Kstiener Photography and Kendall Stiener Photography. Then one year, I got this dog that changed my whole life.

Aurora Photo was born, and is just as special as it's namesake.

Thank you for; One, reading this far. Two, to anyone who has watched this transform or has been a part of this journey over the past decade. I would not be here if it wasn't for you. I wouldn't change this journey, and I just love that.

MAY THIS BE THE BEGINNING OF A BEAUTIFUL FRIENDSHIP
